ROBIN GABRIEL-PARSON, Cultural Ambassador

 

Robin was born and raised in the heart of New Orleans Jazz Alley best known for Second Lines (traditional brass band parade) and Mardi Gras Indians. At a early age her family moved to Algiers, the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans.

A graduate from the University of New Orleans, with a BS in Cultural Studies, Robin has been a leading contributor to the preservation of New Orleans Jass Dance through the Louis Armstrong Foundation, Inc. production "New Orleans Jass Jubilee. Seen above, Robin and members of the Jass Jubilee performed at the New Orleans Mardi Gras Museum for a meeting of the Mid-South Women In Tourism organization which Robin is an active member.

"I am a passionate visionary producer, artistic director and choreographer who loves sharing my city with guest visiting for a day or a week." 

An Oral Historian at Evergreen Plantation located along the Old German Coast, Robin shares the history and cultural traditions of the Louisiana Colony with visitors from around the world. Robin also lend her expertise to other tour providers such as New Orleans Legendary Walking Tour, Tours by Locals, and AirBnB.
